Summary of the House Committee Version of the Bill

SCS SB 751 -- SALE OF SCHOOL PROPERTY

SPONSOR: Stouffer (Johnson, 47)

COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Local Government by a vote of 14 to 0.

This substitute allows the City of Corder to sell or use property
originally acquired from a school district for public use for any
purpose after 25 years.

FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds in FY 2007, FY 2008, and
FY 2009.

PROPONENTS: Supporters say that maintaining this property is a
financial burden for the city, and the city will benefit greatly
if it is allowed to sell the property.

Testifying for the bill was Senator Stouffer; and Missouri
Municipal League.

OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
